I'll open with my general philosolophies. Most people will want to know 2 things: Happiness and success. I'll start with those:
Happiness: Home is where the heart's on fire. If you love the elements, cold (and hot), wildlife - then Canada may be your "fire". If you love heat, humidity and "the easy" life, then that's also fine - that's where your heart's on fire. My suggestion - find what you love ... and do it! :-)
Success: Most think about this as "money" or "fame". I disagree. Toys and gadgets have caused more grief than help. Bigger house? Not according to a recent study at Harvard - it's worse now* than it was in the 40's! So, *my* premise is simply what Kung-Fu (and Jesus) teaches: "All man need ... is warm fire, full stomach, and good friends."
We've become a "keep up with the Jones" society that we have lost sight of the simple things. The basic things. Whether you refer to them as "Christian" or "Buddhist" principles (they are both the same in many ways), the premise is indeed there.
* We live in bigger homes, and have every imaginable toy, but we're more distant, and not as happy. [see below]
Money: Although we live as Capitalists (as "good Americans"), the principles we tout and live for are the *opposite*. Society tells us to make more and accumulate; Christianity tells us to give everything away and live "simple" (or "simply") . Obviously, both cannot logically be done simultaneously - so it leads to (in my opinion) confusion. We hail a "Pop star" as "successful", even though they are a *horrible* role model for our adolescent children, and are usually messed-up in some (or many) ways. How can this be "success"?
Politics: Most adults today can't see past the end of their noses. Liberals tune out candidate McBush for being lost in the past. Conservatives can't hear Obama without seeing that turban. Cognitive dissonance simply means most brains cannot see past their own narrow ideologies. They dismiss any data that contradicts those ideologies. Whether you're a conservative Republican or liberal Democrat, you only hear what you already know is "true." All else is tuned out. This is why I choose to "be different" - I try to see the good things in Hitler, and the bad in Regan. And oh, do I find it - in both cases! This expands our minds, and enables us to be less of a "puppet" and more of a "think for ourselves" person. Go ahead - ask me about the good that Hitler did (you're doing many of his ideals daily) or the "badness" of Regan and Gates.
We are taught whom to hate and whom to respect... for example, one cannot wear a Hitler costume for Halloween. Or Saddam Hussein. Only if you post them on your pick-up truck - with "crosshairs" (target) on it.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy."

Ironically, the very people who preach this tolerance (Muslims, minorities, gays, etc) are the very ones who are the least tolerant and the most racist (and heterophobic)!!
Probably the most important facet of today's mistakes - but the least importance put on it: Parenting. This is NOT rocket science - it's the way ancient civilizations have been doing it for centuries. Those early explorers? They were age 14-24, not 30 or 40. They were smart ... because *everybody* had to be smart back then. They were WAY smarter than we are today. We are "dumbing-down" our youth today.
Do what the India and China people do - educate them from birth. They WILL be smarter. Most "parents" plop them in front of the "tee vee" and give them video games to thumb. WRONG!!!!
READ THOSE BOOKS - with your child on your lap!!!Don't watch ANYTHING with violence or aggression in it - even a cartoon with punching on an explosion. They say that cartoons (and video games) are making children violent!

Fast Food:
Although it's causing HUGE stress on Socialized medicine, I agree that
all fast food providers be banned. Sure - the market wants
them, but the grief it causes makes it necessary to be banned.
• Cellular Phones:
Everyone uses a mobile (Cellular) phone these days. And with Ted
Kennedy as a perfect example, they (as well as laptops) can cause
tumours and sterility. We always recommend that our Contractors
(Entertainers) wear a headset or earbud when talking on their mobile
telephone, but it has been said far better by a Surgeon (circa December
2008): "Do not hold your cellular phone to your head [use a headset!],
and leave it on your dashboard while talking and waiting for a call."
There is one simple reason for this: cellular phones work via microwave transmission. And unlike a microwave oven, it has zero protection of this radiation. Cellular telephones are well-known in the medical community to be the cause of cancers in the brain and ovaries / testicular (from carrying it in one's pocket!). Self Hypnosis:
Although I'll not get into "self-hypsosis" here, it's a fantastic way
to sleep better (and deeper), and get the same effects of "Yoga". After
all, Yoga is respected, but self-hypsosis (same thing as yoga, but
without all the crossing the legs and ritual) is thought of as
"witchcraft". Absolutely amazing, ey?
(I realize that this should be under "health concerns" above.)
I used to eat ~ 2 whole chickens per day. Then on one USA tour, I was
invited to have a tour of one of the other band members' pig farm. I'll
never forget those squeals, or the smell. Call me "wimp" names. Go
ahead - see how wimp I can be :-)
Seriously, though - I immediately stopped eating pig, then cow, then fish and chicken ... and I noticed my race times immediately began to improve. Now, one could deduce that, at age 33, my race times should continue to get worse from aging, but indeed, they kept getting better and better.
Coincidence? Perhaps, but my age lines started going away as well. My Nutritionists tell me that "I'm eating anti-oxidants now; meat is an oxidant, and oxidants are bad, causing aging. Your reasoning? <grin>

Additional reasons for my choice not tot eat any meat: off the
Florida keys, I once speared a barracuda. It swam away - bleeding
profusely. I know it died a horrible, painful, slow death. I went "frog
giggin' in Kentucky - it still haunts me when I remember it's scream as
my spear ripped through it's body, and then slapping it numb on a rock
tot death. The other guys were with the attitude (modern adolescents
would use the word "like" there) "we're MEN, aren't we!", but my
thinking was: wow - a real MAN - 75kg guy picking on an animal weighing
5g. I'm ashamed to this day! Today, I am a student of Kung Fu
philosophy, as well as Christian principals. I ask people: are we
really showing [Genesis 1:26] "domonion over the animals?" Would God be
proud?? I sincerely doubt it!
Bodybuilding:
Vegetarians actually have a better chance of increasing their strength
and size while on a meat free diet. Vegetarian body building means
exactly that – building muscle mass and strength based on a diet filled
with fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Eating meats can actually
slow down your metabolism because it takes so much energy to digest it
whereas with a vegetarian diet, your body actually speeds up its
digestion.
Vegetarian body building means being creative with meals to ensure that you have plenty of vitamins and minerals represented in the foods you eat. Many body builders who abstain from meat have consulted with nutritionists to ensure that their diet as well as supplements provides what is needed to maintain and grow muscle mass.

with Noah. Well, WE look at history - not from a mere 200 years, but

Incest has been part of our heritage - religious or evolution standpoints - since the beginning of man. Even in the Jungles of the planet, species are STILL breeding with their relatives. As you are with your relatives (if you buy the "Christianity" side).

It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters
attending American Universities and British Universities are now

Ripping the West in Two.
Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two. She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law. Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel. He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza. When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for Jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.
But Darwish developed a sceptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television. In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping Sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries. For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose Sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.
Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world. Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world. While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims.
Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others. While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism. It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.
While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere. (In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. and Britain To elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA. Dearborn Mich. is one... And there are others..) (Britain has several cities now totally controlled by Muslims)

I've been trying to say this since 911, but you worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country. But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me.I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate, but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.
On September 11, ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.

The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action. They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing 'leaders' like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.
If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people, then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good, and pure, and true, when your 'leaders' are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance? It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if huge numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American
flag, shooting weapons into the air. A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.
We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us: Our rights under the greatest constitution in the world. I want to know where every Arab Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every true citizen of this country to demand it. A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my brothers and sisters who died protecting the very constitution that is protecting you and your family.

Although widely accepted - and downright ENDORSED on television, film, radio and pop culture, malediction (foul language, vulgarity, swearing) can be a mark of "brainlessness" in my opinion. In my opinion, people who swear - especially excessively - are showing their ignorance and lack of education and lack of eloquence. It is *easy* to substitute "if I can" for every swear, but harder to say it correctly: The snotty guy went to that low-class store and actually bought a whole 6-pack for himself! So the stupid cashier actually went to the back of the store and got it!"

Ever wonder where the word "shit" comes from. Well here it is:
Certain types of manure used to be transported (as everything was back then) by ship. In dry form it weighs a lot less, but once water (at sea) hit it. It not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by-product is methane gas.
As the stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could (and did) happen; methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below at night with a lantern. BOOOOM!
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was discovered what was happening.
After that, the bundles of manure where always stamped with the term "S.H.I.T" on them which meant to the sailors to "Ship High In Transit." In other words, high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the hold would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.
I can't count the number of correspondents who have assured me this is true. Why is this lie so appealing? Why do people love this false story so much that they cling to it like an idol and cast their sanity beneath its juggernaut wheels? This bit of fiction has been traced back, in a different form, to a Usenet posting from 1999. That one merely made reference to the smell. This is all pretty harmless, as a set-up for the "golf" punchline. But because it has the look of authentic history, it has begun to circulate as a legitimate etymology.
It has in common with a number of the other most common false etymologies a tendency to derive words from acronyms (The ethnic slur "wop" is said to represent "without passport," and "f**k" is variously said to stand for "fornication under consent of king" or "for unlawful carnal knowledge").
These fabrications, when anything but clear jokes, are deliberate and audacious lies meant to complicate that which is simple, mislead, and give secret pleasure to the anonymous author of the cleverness. They are the equivalent of a computer virus. Again, they are ALL FALSE.
To someone with a bit of linguistics in his books, the story sets off more red flags than a May Day parade. The first and biggest is its reliance on acronyms. Sir Ernest Gowers, in his revisions to the second edition of "Fowler's Modern English Usage" (1965, p.116) traces the rise of the acronym to World War I (ANZAC, etc.). But even then it was not the usual way of abbreviation. Soldiers, especially the British, seemed to favor the radioman's letter-words; thus to the soldier a trench mortar wasn't a "T.M.," but a "toc emma," for the words wireless operators used to indicate the letters.
Acronyms didn't become a common method of word formation in English until World War II. The word acronym itself wasn't coined until 1943. The lack of a need for such a word suggests the degree to which acronyms previously were not a part of daily life.
As Gowers illustrates with many examples, modern wars breed acronyms. The American Civil War, the first modern war, produced a vast corpus of correspondence and official papers. But I find scant use of acronyms in them. The North's black regiments occasionally are identified as U.S.C.T. (for United States Colored Troops). But these usages did not transpire into the common language of soldiers or civilians. Other Civil War abbreviations used today, such as ANV for "Army of Northern Virginia," are popular among modern writers, but nowhere in the Official Records.
The insult son of a bitch is recorded from 1707; the abbreviated form SOB is on record only from 1918. POW for prisoner of war was first attested 1919, but it was not popularized until World War II. A.S.A.P. for as soon as possible is not recorded before 1955, and again it turns up first in military slang.
So acronyms in English are on the whole a 20th century phenomenon. Among those with pre-1900 origins are A.D. and B.C. (both Latin) and P.D.Q. (1870s). The word OK (c.1839) is another rare exception (if the most accepted theory of its origins is the right one), as is n.g. for "no good" (1838). And note how these words, even after more than 170 years, are still "felt" as abbreviations and require no elaborate Internet stories.
Before that, there were "acrostics." Those are words in which each letter in turn is taken as the first letter of another word or name, which taken together hold some significance. An example is the word cabal, which wits noted in 1673 matched the initial letters of the five intriguing ministers of Charles II (Clifford, Arlington, Buckingham, Ashley, and Lauderdale). This was a sort of word-play that had gone on for centuries in verse composition. But cabal was a real word: it had been in print for at least 60 years before someone happened to notice this temporary political connotation. The initials weren't the source of the word.
The word shit has a long and well-documented history, far older than any large-scale organized sea-trade in northern Europe. On one hand, we have an Operating System that was invented - by BELL LABORATORIES (the telephone company!) - in the 50's. It's has had many years to get the bugs out, and frankly, they had to get them out quickly, as your telephone would not work correctly if it was buggy at all.
In the mid 80's, a "from nowhere" company got a small OS to work (and they didn't expect it to work!) and they talked the entire public into using their crashy, buggy OS almost overnight. Later, they were found guilty by the US Dept of Justice, and yet people don't falter - they rush to BUY the update - and get TRAINED on it(!!)

Celsius: (Commonly misspelled as "Celcius")
Fahrenheit was invented in 1714 (by a Polish layman [NOT a Scientist])
- based on a mixture of ice, water and ammonium chloride. He measured
when it froze at 1,272 ft (387.7 m). Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit picked
his temperature scale by making 0 [zero] degrees the coldest outdoor
temperature he could find in his hometown of Danzig (now Gdanlask,
Poland). He took the lowest temperature which he measured in the harsh
winter of 1708 through 1709, and making 100 degrees the temperature of
his own body.
Yeah - let's all use THAT scale in modern 21st century!! I'll use that scale, and my TRS-80 computer.
Far more recently, Anders Celsius, a Swedish Astronomer (a SCIENTIST), used the freezing point of distilled water at sea level as 0 [zero] and the boiling point as 100. For a long time, the Celsius scale was called "centigrade." The Greek prefix "centi" means one-hundredth and each degree Celsius is one-hundredth of the way between the temperatures of freezing and boiling for water.
Celsius is displayed mostly in decimal (example: 21.1º), but since each degree in C can actually be felt, many banks just display it on their signs as "21". Fahrenheit is a bit more accurate without the decimal (there are 1.8 degrees C for every one degree in F), but when the decimal is used, C is far more accurate (there are .18 of a degree F for every .1 in C - making it over 5 times more accurate)

When I was young, I was probably the world's only Proof Operator who was LEFT-HANDED. I did learn it right-handed, and became almost as fast. Thing was... when I went to use the telephone, I hit many of the numbers wrong. Can you guess why?

Originally, to practice kung fu did not just mean to practice Chinese martial arts. Instead, it referred to the process of one's training - the strengthening of the body and the mind, the learning and the perfection of one's skills. It refers to excellence achieved through long practice in any endeavour. You can say that "a person's kung fu is good in cooking", or that "someone has kung fu in calligraphy"; saying that a person possesses kung fu in an area implies skill in that area, which they have worked hard to develop. Someone with "bad kung fu" simply has not put enough time and effort into training, or seems to lack the motivation to do so.
Being able to fight and kill is not everything! Even if you can fight ten people at once, what happens when you face eleven? Are you strong enough to stop a bullet? If your girlfriend is leaving you, can martial arts save your relationship? If you get fired, will martial arts help to get your job back?
Therefore, you can understand the limitations of physical kung fu. Real kung fu, however, is training your mind, body and spirit to develop wisdom and compassion, from where you can use it to deal with all the problems in your daily life, and achieve true happiness and peace of mind. Today we tend to believe that wisdom is gained through knowledge and experience. The ancient Chinese, however, understood that true wisdom can only be achieved through knowledge, experience and training the mind. In today's superficial society we have become far removed from these ideals. It would seem that people are not wishing for the true happiness of enlightenment, but rather for the inevitable suffering that material attachments bring.

When I was considering moving up here to Canada, I was warned "Don't get sick!" and "It takes a year to have a hangnail removed!"
Well, after years of living here, being to the Doctors several
times (FREE), and to the Emergency room twice (FREE), I can now tell
you that those comments had about the same truth in them as did the
comments I heard about Americans when I was overseas:
"Americans all drive Cadillacs with big horns on the hood, and all are
rich and wear huge cowboy hats."
Sure - that's TRUE, isn't it??
In California - 2003 - I had a cyst on my back. The Doctor got me in (in 3 weeks) and he removed it. It came back. Another $800 later (and another 3 weeks), he removed it again. It came back, so I said the HECK with it.
Later, in Canada, I was getting treated for dehydration. They admitted me into the ER (although I was fine), and they gave me an IV of saline. Obviously, it was free, but I asked them about the cyst. They said "That shouldn't require surgery - just..." and they told me how to get rid of it holistically. I did, and it went away, and has never come back.
In 2007, my wife went in to be seen because of abdominal pain. the Doctor diagnosed it (FREE) as a hernia and ordered a CT scan (Americans call this a "CAT scan") and X-rays. Obviously this was all free. We were phoned by Scheduling in 2 weeks, for surgery (FREE, of course) 3 weeks later. This after a California Surgeon "repaired" it - costing us $22,000, and they didn't do it correctly. The Canadian surgeon said "The previous Surgeon didn't put a splint in, and that's why it tore again." Obviously, all is well since.
Well, there you go - I am *sold* on Socialized medicine! And to
think - I was paying $672 per month for health insurance in the USA - I
save that every month up here! Not to mention that I have been looked
at by an Optometrist (Eye Doctor) and a Orthodontist (braces) and I
have been informed that my [American] eyewear had many blemishes in it,
and my teeth mechanics are improper. Let me tell you that I had been to
THREE Orthodontists in the USA. And the replacement eyewear that I
obtained here in Canada is far superior - they actually showed me the
blemishes in the [American] glass! the Canadian replacements are indeed
clearer, and have no "dimples". Lastly, I have been encouraged to use
pinhole glasses. I bought a pair, and I do not need eyewear any longer!!

Slavery, at the time the USA was engaged in it, was global. All of the European colonies and the mid-East countries had their own slaves; American Indians had slaves from other tribes, and even African tribes had black slaves from other African tribes. My Dad, my Brother, and my Cousins had to WALK to football practice. We had to pick up cans and bottles along the road (for money) and always had a good appetite, yet thin, and had no problems sleeping. Today's kids get everything served to them without lifting a finger (on a silver platter!), and $15 per hour is "simply not enough". They have trouble sleeping, and they have to be told to "finish your dinner". They are commonly obese. The vast majority of our present generation of youths hasn't had to mork hard for anything, and they expect everything. This is a formula for a bad thing! Also, see my music post below.
I love the philosophy of Confucianism (Confucias' real name was Kong Qiu). It is a Chinese ethical and philosophical system developed from the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Very closely related to Buddha and Christian teachings, the main difference in Confucius' teachings versus the Christian religion is - Confucius avoided spiritual issues. He can be categorized as an agnostic who was not interested in spirits or anything supernatural. Christianity, for example, attains a belief in spiritual reincarnation, the supernatural, and a deity. Confucius was humanistic and rationalistic in his outlook. His position on matters of faith was this: whatever seemed contrary to common sense in popular tradition and whatever did not serve any discoverable social purpose, he regarded coldly. The answer to the cultural and social problems was found in humanity itself, not in anything supernatural.
Most Theists (believers in a supreme being) don't even realize that when they practice yoga, they are performing "self-hypnosis", the same ritual deemed "evil" or as "black magic" by popular culture! Same action; different label.

Who knew?
Maybe it's because we like to say "pee three", or maybe it's because we don't like "change" (unless Obama or Microsoft implement it), but in the computer industry, 6 months is pretty-much light years as far as "change" is concerned. So, why would a vastly improved format - that has been available for over 7 years - not be embraced?
I have personally been using mp4 format for 7 years, and I would *think* that we'd be up to "mp13" by now. Granted, Dolby® Labs invented mp3 AND mp4 formats. They improved on the algorithm, but alas, people still embrace mp3 - even after all players and codecs have long-since been ported to include mp4 (also called "AAC" format). Maybe it's that enticing "pee three" rhyme?

Stats dictate that the average North American spends 4 hours per day viewing television, not only did we turn ours OFF back in 2000, but we had everything disconnected. As a man of audio, I retrieve my news and Hockey via the radio, and we have a disc player (commonly called "dee vee dee") for the occasional film.
We are adamant about watching good films: sans violence, sex & nudity, and even discretionary warnings. As a wise man said: "junk in - junk out".
This allows me to spend those 4 hours per day with my family, at the library/college, or inventing yet another idea (I have 2 inventions and 2 trademarks). Or even playing chess or ... RESTING. How about THAT!!? Ha!

Obama is not the first Black American President - not by a long shot.
First, Barack Hussein Obama is not Black - he is 50% Caucasian [from his mother's side] and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African (Kenya) Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya (and Barack was also born there, my CIA cousin says), his father's family was mainly Arabs. Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not Negro). To give you a bit of a perspective, those Classmates who know me - please realize that *I* am 6.25% Cherokee Indian. You can't see it can you? But I have the genealogy to prove it - our family was even written-up in a Front Royal Virginia's newspaper with photos. So, there you go - the "dark" you are seeing in Obama is ... well ... ARAB.
That every election has its own share of myths is
hardly a revelation, and Obama's election is no different. One of the
most pernicious of the myths during the campaign was the one that
Barack Obama will be the "first Black President". On November 4, 2008,
every radio and television station repeated ad nauseam the myth that
"America has elected Barack Obama as its first Black President in what
is its most unprecedented historic election." The following morning,
the print media repeated the same myth.
But is Obama the first Black elected to be President of the United States? The answer, of course, is no. A corollary question then is why do the media (White, Black and others) keep repeating this myth? There may be at least two plausible answers to these questions. The first answer is that the media do not know that there had been at least 5 "Black Presidents" previously. The ere would have been 6 if Bill Clinton could have proven that he was indeed part-Black.
The second answer is that the Black media did not want to dampen the excitement of voters who wanted to be part of an "unprecedented historical event" in electing the "first Black President of the United States" while the media did not want to acknowledge a very important aspect of American history that is Black.
Why not call him "our first Mulatto president" or "first White president with African decent"? Because it's far more attention-grabbing to refer to him as "Black", and it makes him seem more fantastic than he is.
The Black Presidents include Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding, and Calvin Coolidge:
Warren G. Harding never denied his ancestry. When Republican leaders called on Harding to deny the "Negro" history, he said, "How should I know whether or not one of my ancestors might have jumped the fence." Harding's only academic credentials included education at Iberia College, which was founded in order to educate fugitive slaves.
Andrew Jackson was the son of a White woman from Ireland who had intermarried with a Negro. His eldest brother had been sold as a slave.
Thomas Jefferson - who owned slaves and was reportedly very promiscuous - destroyed all of the papers, portraits, and personal effects of his mother, Jane Randolph Jefferson, when she died on March 31, 1776. Those letters told of her having He even wrote letters to every person who had ever received a letter from his mother, asking them to return that letter. Sloan says, "There is something strange and even psychopathic about the lengths to which Thomas Jefferson went to destroy all remembrances of his mother, while saving over 18,000 copies of his own letters and other documents for posterity." One must ask, "What is it he was trying to hide?"
Also, he [Jefferson] is the very one who said the hailed "A government big enough to give you everything you want - is strong enough to take everything you have."
Abraham Lincoln was the illegitimate son of an African man. William Herndon, Lincoln's law partner, said that Lincoln had very dark skin and coarse hair and that his mother was from an Ethiopian tribe. Thomas Lincoln could not have been Abraham Lincoln's father because he was sterile from childhood mumps and was later castrated. Lincoln's presidential opponents made cartoon drawings depicting him as a Negro and nicknamed him "Abraham Africanus the First."
Calvin Coolidge admitted that his mother was dark because of mixed Indian ancestry. Calvin Coolidge's mother's maiden name was "Moor." In Europe the name "Moor" was given to all Black people just as the name "Negro" was used in America.
All of the presidents mentioned were able to pass for White and never acknowledged their Black ancestry. Millions of other children who were descendants of former slaves have also been able to pass for White.

Guess who said the following: "We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work." Was it Sarah Palin? Rush Limbaugh? Karl Rove?
Not even close. It was Henry Morgenthau, Secretary of the Treasury under Franklin D. Roosevelt and one of FDR's closest advisers. He added, "after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. . . And an enormous debt to boot!"
This is just one of the remarkable and eye-opening facts in a must-read book titled "New Deal or Raw Deal?" by Professor Burton W. Folsom, Jr., of Hillsdale College.
Ordinarily, what happened in the 1930s might be something to be left for historians to be concerned about. But the very same kinds of policies that were tried-- and failed-- during the 1930s are being carried out in Washington today, with the advocates of such policies often invoking FDR's New Deal as a model.
Franklin D. Roosevelt blamed the country's woes on the problems he inherited from his predecessor, much as Barack Obama does today. But unemployment was 20 percent in the spring of 1939, six long years after Herbert Hoover had left the White House.
Whole generations have been "educated" to believe that the Roosevelt administration is what got this country out of the Great Depression. History text books by famous scholars like Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr., of Harvard and Henry Steele Commager of Columbia have enshrined FDR as a historic savior of this country, and lesser lights in the media and elsewhere have perpetuated the legend.
Although Professor Schlesinger admitted that he had little interest in economics, that did not stop him from making sweeping statements about what a great economic achievement the New Deal was.
Professors Commager and Morris of Columbia likewise declared: "The character of the Republican ascendancy of the twenties had been pervasively negative; the character of the New Deal was overwhelmingly positive." Anyone unfamiliar with the history of that era might never suspect from such statements that the 1920s were a decade of unprecedented prosperity and the 1930s were a decade of the deepest and longest-lasting depression in American history. But facts have taken a back seat to rhetoric.
In more recent years, there have been both academic studies and popular books debunking some of the myths about the New Deal. Nevertheless, Professor Folsom's book "New Deal or Raw Deal?" breaks new ground. Although written by an academic scholar and based on years of documented research, it is as readable as a newspaper-- and a lot more informative than most.
There are few historic events whose legends are more grossly different from the reality than the New Deal administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt. And there are few men whose image has been more radically different from the man himself.
Some of the most devastating things that were said about FDR were not said by his political enemies but by people who worked closely with him for years-- Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau being just one. Morgenthau saw not only the utter failure of Roosevelt's policies, but also the failure of Roosevelt himself, who didn't even know enough economics to realize how little he knew.
Far from pulling the country out of the Great Depression by following Keynesian policies, FDR created policies that prolonged the depression until it was more than twice as long as any other depression in American history. Moreover, Roosevelt's ad hoc improvisations followed nothing as coherent as Keynesian economics. To the extent that FDR followed the ideas of any economist, it was an obscure economist at the University of Wisconsin, who was disdained by other economists and who was regarded with contempt by John Maynard Keynes.
President Roosevelt's strong suit was politics, not economics. He played the political game both cleverly and ruthlessly, including using both the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service to harass and intimidate his critics and opponents.
It is not a pretty story. But we need to understand it if we want to avoid the ugly consequences of very similar policies today.

by Taitz and mine is exactly the same. I even have the same registrar
and format. The type is identical. I am by nature a sceptical person. I
teach science here and challenge most things that cannot be proven. So
I went to an official registrar today and pulled up the picture on the
web. They magnified it and determined it to be authentic. There is even
a plaque with Registrar Lavender’s name on it as he was a Brit and was
in charge of the Registrar office from 1959 until January of 1964. The
reason the date on the certificate says republic of Kenya is that we
were a republic when the “copy” of the original was ordered. I stress
the word “copy.” My copy also has republic of Kenya. So what you say is
true about Kenya not being a republic at the time of Obama’s birth,
however it was a republic when the copy was ordered.
The birth certificate is genuine. It will be authenticated by a forensic auditor. We are very proud Obama was born here. We have a shrine for him and there are many people who remember his birth here as he had a white mother. They are being interviewed now by one of your media outlets.
Fortunately, they even have pictures of his parents with him
immediately after his birth at the Mombasa hospital with the hospital
in the background.
It will be a proud day for us when it is proven that he was born here

In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama’s qualifications for
the presidency, the group “Americans for Freedom of Information” has
released copies of President Obama’s college transcripts from
Occidental College.
The transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia while an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program.
To qualify for this scholarship, a student must claim foreign
citizenship.
This document provides the smoking gun that many of Obama’s detractors
have been seeking - that he is NOT a natural-born citizen of the United
States - necessary to be President of these United States. Along with
the evidence that he was first born in Kenya, here we see that there is
no record of him ever applying for US citizenship.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama’s campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records.
Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still on-going but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused comment on this matter.
