Here's my music career in a nutshell...

Instrument Skills

Alto & Soprano Saxophones, Guitar, Clarinet, Flute, Piano & Keyboards, Drums, Bass Guitar & Vocals. Full implementation of MIDI. Home studio sequencer. Invented and fully implement pyrotechnic-like fire/smoke/sparks from Saxaophone and Guitar.

Performance Experience

1976-Present

Party Central, My own entertainment Company, providing Live Bands and DJs, as well as all other types of family entertainment.

10/91-7/96

The Joe Sharino Band, 30's to 90's Pop. Bay Area and special appearances throughout the United States. Backed up bands including America, The Drifters, Peter Noone. Were backed up by Emma Lou Harris. Various Magazine and Newspaper articles - featuring my Fire Sax™ (Pyro Sax™) show in particular.

12/89-2/90

Franky Flame & Ruthless Fun, Classic Rock & Roll, Bay-area. Band appears at various Bay-area clubs on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

7/89-3/91

Duo with Steve Oliver, Light Jazz, New Age, Melting Pot, Walnut Creek, California. Special appearances throughout the Bay Area.

6/85-4/87

Hughie Burns and the County Line, Rhythm & Blues, Country and Rock. Five nights per week at the Silver Spur Saloon, W. Palm Beach, Florida. It was with this Band that I began my Pyro Sax™ show.

10/83-3/84

La Creation Latina, Latin, La Paella, Lake Worth, Florida. One of our Singles ("El Gordo") achieved "Top Ten" status on Latin charts in New York.

6/81-8/82

Guide, an all original Gospel Pop band, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Summer, multi-city tour of United States and Puerto Rico.

4/81

Hello Dolly, Musical Theater, Barean Academy, West Palm Beach, Florida.

10/79-5/80

"Wings", an original Pop band, Thousand Oaks, California. Toured key cities in United States and Europe.

10/78-8/79

Funky Tropical, Top 40, Funk, West Palm Beach, Florida.

4/76-12/78

Brass Machine, Top 40, Jazz, Dance, Lake Worth, Florida.

1977

Warren Stine, Gary Perez and I began the first Jazz Band at John I Leanord High School. Although not officially credited with this, the tradition has carried forth every year since.

   

Production Experience:

1998

Controlled multi-media presentation of Silicon Valley Convention of Hi-Tech Chip Manufacturers. Over 2,000 present at Santa Clara Marriott.

1994-1996

Utilized high-energy show with fire-breathing Sax. Co-choreographed stage performances.

1990-1991

Bay Cable Television, San Francisco. Television Camera Operator. Administered "roaming" techniques that resulted in praise from director and crew. This led to my own video services.

1988

Manny Belina and Phoenix, Top 40, Fontainbleau Hilton, Miami Beach, Florida. Planned and operated dazzling light show, including follow spotlight.

6/85-4/87

Hughie Burns and the County Line. Choreographed acrobatics involving special effects with pyrotechnics. Sound engineer (after "Bink" left).

1974-1976

Television Camera Operator and Studio Director for live broadcasting. Also Directed 3 cameras.
